Re: And I thought this was going to be different.
I met a girl in Bangkok on the internet and yes she was an escort, but she was different, I have read this so many times before. I was aware that she had two kids from a Thai boyfriend who had abandoned her and the kids, I am pretty sure she turned to escorting/prostitution as she knew nothing else...

Re: Short sighted
Note: I don't own property and not willing to buy here in Thailand due to the double standards and ownership regulations. My goodness, opinions are SO deeply divided on this. Basically those who have bought property justify their decision and post how rational that viewpoint is. And those who decid...

If you were inclined i am sure you could get up and play with the guys. I always think that musically they are good but are let down vocally. We have a few Karaokes here (not pretty by the way). When these guys play tracks like Hey Joe they mean it!! :thumb: You got the bar thing right, JWs is mine...

Try Oasis airlines to Hong Kong..140 pounds one way..book early...you can get emirates hk to bk for just over 130 pounds return.. I've used Oasis 4 times - no problems really, but it is 12 hours (or more) and you still have to get maybe a hotel in Hong Kong or Macau and arrange your flight to Bangk...

Mike I stayed at the Sofitel 2 years ago and there was a great Jazz bar downstairs called Satchmo's. Think it has changed name now but may be worth a visit if you like something a bit more upmarket. Bars to visit would be Crawfords, probably the smartest is Hua Hin, Johnny Walkers Bar (just round t...

Hi Mike, What do you play? I would recommend the Gene pub if you lie good rock music, this band plays in my bar occasionally and they are the best we have in Hua Hin! I play piano, bass, and keyboards. And if desperate, nylon string guitar. No, if really desperate, electric guitar, badly. I suppose...

Re: Great Advice
I'm a novelist, so I can work from anywhere. ... ... Those five splodges cost £400,000, which pretty much sums up things here in the UK. Good to hear creative people are moving to Hua Hin. And congratulations on making this your career! I'm an artist, musician, at heart, but worked in computing. N...

13-15 June visiting Hua Hin
Thanks for all the info on the HHAD website and in the forums - Just booked my flights (Eva Air £410 return from London!) and I'm coming over to see for myself. I plan to be in Hua Hin just three nights to start with, 13-15 June. Basically I want to get a feel for the place and to get my own instin...

Um, thank you for the rush of support, and advice, and other comments. I can see that this is a lively forum. 2 weeks sounds like good advice, but for now, I need to get my first taste of the place, so I plan only a couple of days because I also want to check other places on the same trip. Seems the...

What an unpleasant welcome to a newcomer!!!
I can see that this is a harsh place socially, and you must have had other people abuse this forum in some way. Obviously there are legal issues and professional advice but none of that gives me any idea how it FEELS and WHO are the people I would meet living in a place. When it comes to practical d...

Finding a place in the sun
This is my first post here. Hello. I'm from the UK and looking for a place in the sun, somewhere to stay for a few months each year. I've heard good things about Hua Hin, and plan to come over to see it for myself mid June or so for a few days. I heard about Hua Hin, and then I found a company that ...
