BaaBaa

I came across this photo and whilst it's a long shot - could the 'large' building next to the Red Bar - and opposite Happy Toro Bar - be the hotel you're referring to?

Found it!!

http://sakulwilai.com/html/p2.html

The room prices listed on the website are as you stated BaaBaa - circa 1,500 night - let's hope they're still in a negotiation mood! The price you and your friends secured was obviously a very good one!!! :thumb:

Thats the one. (Website and Photo)

Like I said, the price list had discount stickers all over it when I went to look at the place and I stayed through most of January, Im sure it will still be 900 baht now.

Chok Dee!

If you do not mind hearing the bars until 1AM, not a bad choice, but opposite is a guesthous e/hotel that sells for 50% of that price ( stayed there several times for a one nighter for 600 / night during PEAK season)

I payed 900 baht during PEAK season so your 50% is wrong, as I said earlier in the thread you cant hear the bars at all if you get on a higher floor.

You stay in Baan Pak Hua Hin if you like crap rooms, mai pen rai.

Possibly.

I dont use them so im not 100% sure.

Its a nice hotel though, good views from the balcony, sea view one side, looking over the temple on the other.

You could always nip in and ask.

Its one of the better places I've stayed in Hua Hin if you're happy with the location.
Just make sure you're high up if you do stay there.

Hi Pagey

I stayed at Jings in one of their larger rooms (I think they call them their New Suite Rooms) for 800 per night. I stayed there for 1 month so 800pn may have beeen a special rate?

These 'larger' Rooms have either a small balcony or terrace area on the ground floor rooms and equiped with kingsize bed, fridge, a/c, TV & DVD player so it has all you need at a competitive price.

Jings has been mentioned here many times and received many good reveiews which I totally support! It's a good clean friendly place - and bang central to the 'action areas' !!

For more info you can visit Jing's website

Hope this helps Pagey...

Cheers Bradders and Baabaa

I have been reading the old posts in accommodation - maybe I should have done that first  and as you say lots of good things said about Jings and PP.

One or two other options also so need to make up my mind now. :thumb:
