Hey..if you want a really good burger :D Go and see Pat at the Best Beans Coffee, Khao Takiap just near the market. Best beans coffee, Nongkae Takiap road, Nong Kae Hua Hin. Just a few mins from the flyover going down to Khao Takiap on the left, very end shop. Also very cheap and cooked to order 8) The owner is American..so sure knows how to cook a burger!
Yes if you want to wait about 30 minutes to get served!

Went there a week ago whilst at Cicida, place looks great but the service is atrocious, waited 15 minutes to get a beer and a further 20 for the club sandwich. There was only 1 table occupied, two thai staff serving, one of them was the cook. Won't be revisiting. After we had a walk round cicida we needed another beer, went to the first restaraunt in the block thai owned and run, before we could get to our seats staff were trying to serve us, got a beer at the bar in less than a minute. Pat needs to get his finger out and get service sorted instead of chating away to friends at the one table that was occupied!
I was at BBC today and got excellent service. It's like a deli and is still in a "soft" opening period so you just can't sit down and wait necessarily. I went in and ordered (like in a fast food joint) from the menu overhead behind the counter and was served in a timely manner and the food was excellent. The burger, small but inexpensive, and the chicken burger are some of the best I've had here, and the salads cannot be beat for the price.

I don't know about Grace's as I haven't tried it yet but I can give a :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: to Best Beans Coffee in Takiab!

Ok,
We can see that CF and his buddy can not get their story straight. CF is talking about a Medium Bacon Cheese Burger and his buddy is talking about a medium well. What was it? I mean I would asked not in the same way but I would have been laughing in the back in the kitchen. Yes the American is the owner and chef, I would say more that is very dry as a person than confrontational. I tell him all the time it is not what you say but how you say it.

If CF and his buddy's story do not jive; I would have to say it is amazing how a thread can be made offer an over reaction by both side.

Now to the comment about my bbq and sweet and sour sauce comments. Then we are all guilty of promotion, we suggest that people go to another restuarant and talk to this cook, and so on. As man who enjoys food I only goto restaurant for cetain things. I have eaten enough hamburgers, so I enjoy eating my other favorites. Would you not say the reason I eat at such and such is because of a certain item. We are in Thailand and I am sorry I have not had a BBQ sauce here that was close to homes/mom's. The all have been Kraft or Thailand imitation. The same goes for sweet and sour, and especially the Philly Cheese Steak. Please if you know another place that has that Philly Cheese Steak please tell me and I will go.

The guy may be dry but I will always enjoy the Cheese Steak and the ribs. Now like I said earlier I wasn't there and there is two different explanations of what happend, so I am not going to let one small incident ruin my eating experiences. Oh yeah I eat there every weekend after returning from work in Ratchaburi.

Peace, Love, and Hair Grease LOL

That's what I thought, can remember the words but not the continent!? If it was a Thai saying "you order or you leave" he could well have been asking not telling, if it was this big brash spetic I think you'd know about it somehow, (I'm sure he screams clearer than he writes).

I really fancy popping down for this Philly Cheese steak as never had one before (well I've only been to Philippines a handful of times and always had their Asian dishes), but bit worried about who to take to be honest. Can't be the missus as she'll definately complain if something ain't right what with her gob (think E-Dork on speed) so it's either a wimpy mate who will never complain (splitlid) or a hard mate who will complain (crazy88), ah I know.... I'll take the builders.

Table for 22 please runin&steaminthecustomers

If you reread the part of my post that wasn't quoted, you'll see the encounter was a year ago.

That's correct, have a read of this if you are in doubt over any of the forum's policies: viewtopic.php?t=1783
