Night Crawlers

Hi Fisherman I have been to HH twice now and also cannot get access to NIght Crawlers yet(maybe for next time) But to be honest, seek and ye shall find! After a day or two you will know where to go and where not to, depending on what you want. Better still, buy one of the bar owners a drink and just...

Jings...again

I have just stayed at Jings for the second time and cannot reccomend it highly enough. Peter and the girls are very helpful, the place is spotlessly clean and, for value for money I don't think it can be beaten. Close to everything you could want, good food and always a smile. Many thanks to Peter a...

How to get to Koh Tao

Can anybody advise me how to get to Koh Tao from HH please, and how long it takes etc. My friend wants to go scuba diving, and apparently this is the nearest place, also if we are likely to find walk in accomodation beginning of September.
Cheers.

Scuba diving

I am back to HH end of August, and a friend is coming with me this time.
He is keen to learn to Scuba dive. Is there any PADI or similar training available in or close to HH?
Thanks

Susan Boyle

I think the biggest attraction for the media circus the poor woman seems to be attracting is that she is a self proclaimed virgin! She certainly has nothing more than a "pleasant" voice, but the standard of her singing now seems to be irrelevant! God save her from the media frenzy she is n...

Mozzie repellant

I use Repel, which is basically a DEET spray. You can buy it in the UK in different atrengths, from 10% for moderate use to 100% DEET for tropical rain forest macho tattooed mozzies! I use the 100% but be careful not to spray on face (spray on hands and wipe face) and don't use it on small children.

Hoel in Bangkok.

I recently stayed at the President Solitaire Hotel and Spa.
Approx £50.00 for the night, but was pretty damn good, wide screen tv, enormous bed and right near to shops and bars etc. just don't drink out of the mini bar...£25.00 for a 1/4 bottle of whisky!

Jings safe Deposit.

No safe deposit box in room, but to be honest they have a night watchman, the staff seem trustworthy (I left laptop and money in room etc) and never felt the need for a deposit box. Or am I just naive and over trusting... :)

Recent stay in Hua Hin

I would like to thank those who offered advice prior to my recent stay in HH. Back in UK now and hoping to go back to HH in January. The fishing was great, as was the drinking and entertainment and company! :) I stayed at Jings, which I can't reccomend highly enough. Clean, good air con, good food a...

Manxman in Hua Hin now.

Arrived Sunday and went to the Fishing Lodge. Good fun and the food supplied as part of the 2k baht tour was excellent. Fish up to 10kg and of course the one that got away! Will try to get back this week (leave on Monday) if anyone has any suggestions re freshwater fishing I would be grateful. Phone...
