nosamluap, Please clarify - were you or your partner Thai, claiming re-patriation? If you were, then the rules on what you can take without paying duty have changed since my daughter re-patriated. Both myself and my wife are English and shipping the carpet into Thailand (tying to) but sent it back ...

First off I assume you mean exiting Thailand and getting another 90 day entry stamp on the same visa. If you mean getting a new one, it can't be done in Ranong. Is your visa for more than one entry? Assuming it is, there's no reason why you shouldn't drive. Ranong's easy to get to. Just follow the ...

Shipping from the UK

Thanks for the messages from the other North Easterners. I've just read them again and had to pass the comment that I understand why they are in Thailand, and not Bishop Auckland and Billingham. Jeees, Billingham, the biggest industrial wasteland in the world... and you joke about us Monkey Hangers!...

Just read all of the above topic and find it very interesting that no-one has mentioned good old 'blighty' in the conversation. One of the main reasons, if not THE main one we came to Thailand is because of all the changes in society (and taxes!!) in England, all of which seemed to go against the br...
