It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

In thailand (boots) st john's wort is in a bottle called i think it's spelt hyper forte and is usually on sale for about 300 or 400 baht for 30 pills(1 month).
Uni Students commonly use this herb.
one thing about it is that you need to be well sun blocked if using st johns wort.
also prozac(copy brand) is available at most pharmacys including tesco for 20-40 baht for 10 pills but that is an ssri and 1 a day take about a month to work. it's good for a while to get one over the hump but one gets tired of being numbed quick enough and when one slowly weens of it one can enjoy music again. doctor prescibed it to me over 12 years ago and i stopped taking it after about 3 months but it did the trick
also people on ssri antidepressants are slightly loopey from outside and they can drag a conversation through pure shiit and feel none of it.
Edit.
I checked boots in market village as i was in there and i wanted to know if they had any other anti-depressants besides prozac. they only had the brand prozac(no copy) for 2,500 baht (30) which is a hell of a difference from the 60 baht a month (30) for the copy brand. no perscription needed for that unlike in the west where a visit to doctor is 2,500 baht now and the meds on top of that. I have a lot of medical professionals in my family and there is lots of perks to prescribing certain brand names for the doctors there (which they deserve as it's an unpleasant job).

Diplomacy is the ability to tell a man to go to hell so that he looks forward to making the trip
Having written several articles on depression and anti-depressants, (I've never suffered from depression by the way), I would strongly advise you to seek an alternative form of treatment before you start with any prescription drugs. Many are well known for their possible side effects and the fact that they often cause you to become dependent. Yes, I know they are legal and all, but addiction is addiction, no matter how it's dressed up.
Have heard good reports about St. John's Wort, so maybe give that a try. Becoming involved with some form of regular exercise is also known to help, and a doctor will tell you the same thing. Diet also plays a part so you should perhaps look into that side of things as well.
Just to clear matters up, I am by no means an advocate of alternative remedies, but I'm also not against them. I just believe in trying to make a wise choice whenever possible.
Best of luck

Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
I can give you some advice about depression
But if you have suicidal thoughts or plans you
should seek medical advice.
Otherwise you need to get on with your daily life.
Get up in the morning. Eat regular meals.
Good walks. Try to keep up consentration
by some small reading everyday.
Be careful with alcohol. And keep away from
diazepam and other medication from thai
pharmacies.
I have my daily work in this field with good results.
Good luck.
