Pigeons - Where Have They Gone?

One of the minor irritants over the last decade at our condo in Cha Am is the presence of numerous pigeons. In between visits they seriously soil our balcony and railing to the point where we sometimes pay the condo housekeeping staff to clean it all up before we arrive. They are also a semi irritant around the pool. But that's easier to deal with.

Last time we visited we were surprised that there were no pigeons at all. We just arrived again yesterday afternoon and were happy to see not a bit of crap on the balcony even though we had failed to arrange for cleaning in advance. We did see a few flying around the building while cycling back after breakfast this morning, but still not a single bird on our balcony.

Where have they gone? Bird flu? Hungry Kites? Any ideas?

They're all in my bloody resort!

Too many in recent weeks. Our manager finds out where they are roosting/sitting and puts nets over the alcoves, I'll have to get him onto it. Birdshit in my pool overflow tank is not nice.

I was at the pool for about an hour this afternoon. Usually lots of pigeons around. Today: One Crow, two Myna birds and one pigeon. Never seen Crows or Mynas about the pool. Something odd going on.

My wife posits that all the crows have moved to the ghetto formerly known as The Energy (now known as Ramada Plaza by Wyndham or some such nonsense).
