The best mexican food I've had for a long time is in Phil's bar, along from the Sofitel. The man does a mean burrito !

Agreed meanest burritos around, and I'm not just referring to Hua Hin
Had some chilli wagon chuck beans or something like that aroi maak !!
Wish he'd train his girls to cook the food so its available when he's overseas at work - which seems more often than he is the Hin lately.

Philip told me his recipes are his secret and he won't divulge to anyone...more's the pity, as you say, he's away an awful lot during the year.

Sounds like texmex to me which is about as mexican as Spaghettios are italian. I know its an old thread, but I thought I would revive it since there really are no mexican restaurants in Hua Hin, and Phil's wasn't even serving food the last time i checked several months ago. Maybe someone looking for a business idea will notice and open a mexican restaurant or something approximating it. Just like pizza, mexican food doesn't even have to be "good" to be good.

Why not check out EL MURPHY'S in Soi Selakam, opposite the Limelight?
They have a fairly full Mexican menu. Plenty on the menu to keep me happy.
