Has anybody on here cracked the stupid online car hire sites? I went to Khon Kaen recently - it took me over 2 hours to find a company with cars to rent from the airport. Every enquiry was coming back at me 'no cars available'.
My car is in for repair at the moment after 2 Thais and their dog rode into the back of me on their motorcycle whilst looking at anything but the road. No problem says the repair company - 1 day. Bring the car early, and collect in the evening. Phoned them last night, they haven't even started. I will need wheels a lot from tomorrow until Monday morning. In the likely event of not getting my car back today, I thought I'd try a few car hire sites for pick up in Hua Hin. Every site I've tried so far has come back no vehicles available.
So does anybody know how to book a hire car online?
Companies supposedly checked by the booking sites include:

I'm just trying to put together a plan in case I need it this afternoon
Have used Autorent Asia, which resulted in booking with Hertz, twice
good car, no issues , pick up at airport
but you only seem to be able to pick up from tomorrow, not today.
cars are available online
I rented from BizCar in Hua Hin a couple of years ago which I found to be the cheapest from the big car rental firms. Car was in great shape and no issue...
Hua hin car rental want 20000 baht a month for an old car, that’s £500.
I can rent a virtually new Ford focus in the UK from Brum airport for £260 a month, and with probably better insurance cover!
3 re-assurances today that my car would be back this evening - no need for plan B then.
Guess what? No car, and a taxi booked for 7:45 in the morning
Excuse given - can't get hold of the correct paint Don't they have special machines to mix it to the correct colour? This was after being assured the delay was whilst paint was drying. Lies, lies, and more lies.
[Edit] I've cancelled Friday's trip to Nakhon Pathom, so that just leaves Sunday - I will go by taxi rather than 3 days car hire for a single trip.

May be of interest small mom and pop business we hired a vehicle off them some 5 years ago and they were quite good then and quite reasonable to deal with. They are located on Soi 102. Only managed to speak with one of the staff this morning (spoke english) and he was unable to confirm whether they had any vehicles available.

I need to rent a smaller car for a month and allow me to ask if you or anyone else on Hua Hin forum have a any experience with the above company and what the car insurance they provide actually cover?
I've never tried them, and do not know what insurance they offer i.e. your link states 1st class insurance. They are sponsors of the forum. I can only suggest you e-mail them direct stefan@paradiseproperties.se . I'm very sorry that I can't help more.
