I stayed there 2 years ago and it definitely had an elevator then and still has unless it has been taken out very recently which I doubt. Personally, I found the hotel very good. Rooms are a bit small but very comfortable.
Safety box at reception. Not to be confused with their guest house a little bit out from the town centre. Also have heard good reports about Fresh Inn.

Smart ass I may be, but your original post was headlined in capital letters demanding alleged urgent information - all you had to do was to say please, it's called manners.

We're staying at the Thipurai City Hotel from next Friday. I'd read someones review that said they have no lift. My Mrs phoned them to check because we have a young baby. We were told that they definitely have a lift. :thumb:

Sorry - I didnt mean my comment to be flippant. I stay in the Thipurai regularly and was last there in March. I was asking if the lift had been taken out (it's Thailand - anything can happen) recently?

The Thipurai is a good place. Slightly basic and functional, but very friendly, comfortable, convenient and cheap.

When we get to the final, I may well have to go to Scotland to watch it.

One other important question guys is the thipparai city girl friendly ? do they ask for a joiner fee to take girls back there ? i hope not because i am totally against paying joiner fees its a total rip off i would rather move elsewhere and give the girl extra money !

I do hope so, my wife won't be happy if they don't let her in! Thinking about it, suits me though! :D
