hi does anyone know roughly how much it is for a taxi from Bangkok to Hua Hin? And, is there a rail link into HH from Bangkok

Taxi fare can cost everything between 2000 Bt and 3.500 bt, and yes, we have train connection with Bangkok.

I know at least one farang who regularly visits HH & always uses the train. Now for most of us, it is a slow, often crowded joke, always arriving late & certainly our slowest link with Bangkok. But he likes the free time & always takes a cold box of Chang on board with him.
However, for those less 'laid back', the taxi is worth the extra, though the minibus from downtown HH to the Democracy Monumnet is also very convenient & worth considering.
