Vehicle registration number plates

Post by usual suspect »

Just a coupla things I don't quite understand on the road here..??

1).. Some pick-ups have a black/white sticker displaying their reg. No. in Roman script (as in English etc)..Why is this needed..??

2)...Some posh cars have a gold/bronze coloured metallic badge on their grill?
Are the owners of these vehicles part of some Mansonic-Society or summat like that..?? :?

The roman script is a requirement to drive in Malaysia.
The badge usually signifies that the owner is Police - don't book me or else

I was told military but probably the same thing anyway....
My girlfriend seems to think she will be entitled to one when her little brother becomes a fully-fledged pilot in the Royal Thai Air-Force.

Well a black Merc just blatantly pulled-out onto Hwy 35 yesterday into all the oncoming traffic from one of the Hwy Police stations in the central res..causing a minor case of mayhem, plus a host of motorists blowing their horns at the driver & flashing of lights..this Merc had 1 of these badges on it's front grill.

One of the reasons I bought a helmet cam U.S. Overtakers see the single headlight of my bike and automatically assume that I'm a slow-moving scooter and will move over to the edge of the road. This is all very good in theory when I'm not 'nipping along'....
I want to capture these arrogant b*ggers and shame them on YouTube......
I also considered a 'batman-style' handlebar-mounted paint-ball gun but probably not the most mature/safest of solutions.....
Stay safe.
