Amazon delivery to Hua Hin
Amazon delivery to Hua Hin
Apart from those books etc ordered through Amazon has anyone ever had anything else delivered direct here to their home in HH? I am talking about perfume and those kind of items? Would duty/taxes require to be paid on them therefore knocking up the price of the product? Does anyone know if there is a limit to what can be sent direct to Thailand.....you know such as pet products, food etc. Strange question I know.....but just wondered and have reasons for asking!
Re: Amazon delivery to Hua Hin
I am here doing business and some of the items I get as samples are from China. It's a 50/50 toss up if customs will latch onto it or not. The last package I got contained a ring display ( the little black finger thing you put a ring on to display in a shop window) I paid 9 USD for one and Thai Customs got a hold of it and made me go to the PO to pay a 5 Baht import fee....Feline wrote:Apart from those books etc ordered through Amazon has anyone ever had anything else delivered direct here to their home in HH? On the other hand, I ordered some Swedish Snus, it's been almost a month now and haven't seen it. No tracking number on the package and when I go to the post office to question about it, they don't even look for it, just tell me it's not here. Though I've had big bags of protein sent to me from NZ and books from the USA with no problem.
The Thai Postal System, is really hit or miss. If you want stuff from overseas, ensure a tracking number is provided. Even though it is much more costly, it's worth it.
