Playing rugby in Hua Hin

Hi, new to Hua Hin and wondering if there is anywhere to get a rugby game? Either sevens or 15's is good, though suspect only last 15 mins in the heat

If there isnt a regular club do any of the oz/kiwi/bok backpackers organise anything?

I've never come across any rugby matches in Hua-Hin, or Thailand for that matter, but then again, you can't really expect, people to organize such an event if they clearly know they don't stand a chance in hell of winning.


As far as I know, I'm the only "bok" in town, so apart from me, you'll have a hard time finding anyone capable of playing the game, apart from the odd Welshman.

I'd be up for a run around too. I've been to the Bangkok 7's a couple of times and it was not bad. 2 or 3 years back the 7's legend Waisale serevi was part of a Thai airways sponsored team.

When I am in Hua Hin I would be up for a game, also I believe there is a 10's tournament in Phuket.

Bangkok Sevens take place next week. Details on their web page. There is also a 10 a side tournament in Bangkok usually in February. Both events are well supported and teams are from all over Thailand as well as Australia, NZ and South Africa to name a few.

Yes I will be in bangkok for this years 7's, will probably go along for a couple of hours on the Sunday afternoon as its the day before I go back to work and it's played not far from our place in bkk.

Hmmm...well looks like there is interest in HH if any games get sorted. If I can get anything sorted I'll put out the word on the forum. Hope to get along to the 7's meself if I can get the time away from work. Maybe catch some of you guys there.
