Air Asia to fly to Hanoi from Bangkok

Post by Bamboo Grove »

Air Asia will start flights between Bangkok and Hanoi around 17th of October. I tested the prices and this is what I got for departure November 14, return November 17
Total Cost of Flight THB 3,298.00
+ airport taxes (I think it's now) 700 baht in BKK and 14 USD in Hanoi.

The prices being this reasonable maybe HHAD should organize a trip to Hanoi as we already have someone we know there. Maybe she could be our tour guide there. BTW the days I put where totally out of may hat. But this seems to be a good possibility for a different kind of visa run.

Well that certainly beats the now defunct Fucket Air price of a flight to Ranong coming in at almost double.

Since when the AP tax in BKK increased to 700bath.

It's a great news for me since I used up all the milages in my fly card exchange for fly tickets , I like Airasia better than Tiger Airways. So now the distance between the 2 countries is shorter hehehe...

Had booked a trip with air asia two weeks ago from BKK to Ubon.
While arriving at airport they didnt know themselves if they'll fly or not ,finally they cancelled the flight and we could take the bus.I was told that's happend often in the last times with air asia.It was my first and only booking with this company,so dont know what is really happen, but will probably be my last booking aswell.

I've flown with AA to KL and Penang. On the way back from Penang the flight was delayed by 5 hours, otherwise haven't had any problems.

Used Air asia last week between BKK and Ubon Ratchatani.
No probs. or delays.
Free seating,no free drinks or snacks. But still got us there and back.
Going to Ubon got the tickets on the same day(They have a special same day counter).
