The Yanks here grew up watching this man, and watched him well into the start of their old age! He was an institution to say the least, and his biting commentary and satire will be sorely missed. Our Mr. Voranni from the Bangkok Post is similar in style. RIP Andy. Pete

Yes Pete, very true. Although I am not a "Yank" I always enjoyed listening to his comments. One of the very few in the US that could be called genuine. Especially when you look now at some of the crap on the likes of Fox News. RIP.

I used to watch him on 60 Minutes and always loved his slot. On a show full of excellent journalism his bit was just pure good watching, and was the bit I always looked forward to.
