Where can I buy a western style sofa?

Post by Woody »

Howdy. I need a new sofa and have been to Index, Winner and the new Winner today. I also went to a couple of smaller shops. All they seem to sell though is nice looking sofas but only big enough for a midget! every sofa I sat on was properly uncomfortable. Some of them are just mental looking also I cant get my head around the Thai taste its nuts.

Is there anywhere in HH I can get the sort of sofa that I would get at home in England? Something a bit bigger and more comfy? Just a normal sofa!

Cheers

Agree with Whaler

Had the same problem a couple of years back, had decided on L shape setee but could not find one where if you sat back your head was supported. Karen has hers manufactured and included my sizes for the back with increased size cushions, I'm sure this would run to including an extra arm.

As an aside they also had a 4 poster bed manufactured to my specs, to fit a matress from Index, hers were all too soft.

Found all staff very good and even went with me to Index to measure the matress!

Winner sells the lazboy range USA company 10 year guarantee expensive but worth it.
I paid 140k for 3 seat/2 seat plus rocker all recliners.
Wolf stocked leather sofas in 'farang' size a few years ago.

Thanks people for the suggestions. I will try Karen at BW but I have a feeling it is going to be crazy dear..... I was looking at spending around 30,000 for a 3 seater. If its designed from scratch by an expert it will be way more than that.

Same goes for the Lazyboy. They are cracking sofas and super comfy but I cant do 140,000 on a sofa at the minute.

Ill try all suggestion though, including Siam Old Teak.

Thanks everyone
