POLL: How do you keep yourself occupied?

Without a full-time job, boredom can be a problem for your average ex-pat.
What do you do to keep yourself from drowning in drink?

I'm still in the workforce, but hopefully 3 more years only.
This topic has been in my head so thanks for putting it up!!

The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

Mornings on HHAD while I have my coffee and tea; afternoons exercising, working around the house, or running errands, evenings watching TV or reading a book. Golf all day once a week if possible.
When times were better financially I went out more for recreation; meals, beers with friends, golf, shooting, travel within Thailand but with the dollar in the tank, it's the quiet life now.

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

At the moment I am waiting on my business visa for Libya, while waiting I work about 15/20 hours a week.
The rest of the time I run errands, watch TV, read, surf the net, take trips and generally just chill out.

Atheists have no need of a god. Our lives are not based on fear or guilt. We are moral because we know it's right.

I'm a social animal so it's out and about during the day and occasional evenings(budget tight now though)
Was writing a book but that is stuttering to a halt
Too much time surfing the web and forums
As an active sportsman in my youth I miss it and would love to do more but hampered by a gammy leg. I know poor excuse
Having done a detox and learned how I can improve my mind and body I should focus on that but never mind I'll start again tomorrow (expat motto)

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

As an add on I think many of us are feeling the pinch financially and therefore are constrained to a less active life. More reading, more web searching and more solitary confinement (RZ style)

Dozer it looks like you'll be filling your time a little longer as I doubt Libya will happen for a while now.
