This is handy, memory lane made easy. Just select a year and that years top 20 favorites are listed for you to play.
It only goes back to 1940

RICHARD OF LOXLEY
It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

I used to listen to Top of the Pops on a transistor radio, under the blankets on a Sunday night. School next day.
Anyone remember 3 way family favorites, my sister in Aus, had a record played for her back before time began.

Bill Crozier in Germany and Jean Somebody or other in UK. Followed by The Billy Cotton Band Show.

along with Jimmy's show I was a massive fan for years of Tommy Vance's Friday Rock Show....miss old Tommy and his caramel voice.
ah the great old days of listening to the radio and taping it on one of those old mono tape recorders

Remember the old, huge, radios with the record deck built in. Hundreds of stations on the dial?
If you tuned to a station and wrote down a few words of what you heard then sent it off to the station, they sent back a postcard with a view of the city. Great, if you were a stamp collector as a kid.
