Hotel Sukwilai

Post by matttrotman »

Hi,

I'm looking to book 2 rooms in the Hotel Sukwilai on 21,21/1 Soi Binthabath for next April. Having emailed them and trying their online reservation form I have not had a reply yet. Can anyone tell me if this hotel has closed down? Thanks.

On the other hand can anyone recommend a guesthouse for approx £10 per room per night for the end of next April? Would be nice to have our own swimming pool if possible. Having travelled to Hua Hin a couple of years ago I appreciate there are a hell of a lot more places to stay than the internet searches suggest.

There is a list to the right of this screen with accommodation sponsors, try clicking a few of them.

What email provider are you using?

I've heard of problems with some providers not accepting emails from Thailand.

Maybe try with a Gmail account.

I think you'll be lucky to get somewhere with a pool for 500baht in HH, bar the Sukwilai.

As Baabaa says, some places do not receive/accept emails from/to HOTMAIL or YAHOO accounts.

I'm staying in the Subhamitra Hotel (which doesn't advertise on here I don't think) and they are doing a weekly rate of about 640 per night. Central location - much quieter than the Binta Block - aircon/fan/fridge etc and pool.
You shouldn't really need to book a town centre hotel in advance but for April it's worth checking whether your visit clashes with Songran, because HH could be very busy over that festival.

Thanks BaaBaa. I actually tried to book using the hotel websites online reservation form. I received an automated reply to my yahoo email address saying they would reply within 24 hours. No reply. I tried a second time but this time had no automated reply either. Very odd.
