Does anyone know where I can hire a small truck (6-wheeler) for a day with driver to collect furniture.

Barry, you could try the same guys that we used to move us up here to Nakhon Pathom. They're based just off the main Phetkasem Highway behind Silpakorn University.

They're reliable and not silly expensive. Their telephone numbers are: 089 9100451 or 086 0776033. They don't speak English, but, obviously, that won't be a problem for you.

Yes, I got it organised, thanks.
I wanted to collect furniture from the Burmese market near Prachuab.

Your guys wanted 6 k for the day - not too bad for a removal.

In the end I got someone local at the market to deliver everything to Hua Hin and Paknampran for 2 k - so we converted the balance into red wine instead :) :cheers:

The market is just before the border at Dan Sinkhon - about 20 mins drive beyond the main Prachuab intersection.

They do have "small stuff" for sale too, but what are you looking for exactly, then maybe i can give you a more precise answer.
