Mercy House Kids Birthday

Post by Sealcat »

Hi All

The Mercy House Kids will be having their combined birthday on Saturday 11 September, at barrys's restaurant, Crepes&Cruises (near the wharf in town) commencing around midday. All HHAD are welcome to celebrate with the kids and reinforce their sense of self worth, plus provide emotional support to Whichai and Wanphen, their "parents". Of course, it goes without saying, if you want to help through a donation, please contact either barrys or myself. "Adult" drinks will be available on the day!! Your support for these wonderful kids will be appreciated.

There are presently 24 kids at Mercy House.
It is run like a big family, so the general policy is to treat all the kids equally - this means that donations are used to run the orphanage as a whole, rather than individual kids being singled out for special treatment.

There is a newer orphanage at Pala' U that does have a sponsor scheme (see http://www.huahinafterdark.com/forum/vi ... 3&start=15)

Hi London Boy

Thanks a lot for that, we look forward to seeing you.

As Allan said, anyone who wants to turn up on the day to say "hi" and/or donate anything at all is very welcome.
The kids will arrive around noon.
They'll be eating and playing on the beach at the back of the restaurant and will probably be there until around 3 or 4 p.m.

Many thanks to London Boy and poosmate, who both left donations at C&C for the birthday party.

So it's all happening tomorrow from 12 noon for anyone who wants to call in and meet a great bunch of kids
