Any beach better than that at Dusit Hua Hin?

Last month my family (my wife, my 2 years old daughter, and I) made our first trip to Thailand / Hua Hin. We stayed at Dusit Hua Hin and had a fabulous time there.

We are now thinking of going back to Hua Hin again, and would like to find out whether are there any resort in Hua Hin that is situated at a nicer stretch of beach compared to that at Dusit. The beach at Dusit is very clean and quiet, just that the sea water is a bit murky. Or is that the typical standard for sea water at Hua Hin?

And just to side-track a bit, if we want to go to a beach resort area/region in Central Thailand with clearer sea water than that at Hua Hin, what are the choices?

There are many places with clear water; Prachuab, Bangsaphan, Chumphon, Koh Tao etc unfortunately Hua Hin is not one of them - its too close to Bangkok! The water gets a little clearer if you go south beyond Khao Takiab but its still murky. Only gets really clear an hour south at Prachuab.
