After asking the same question as you last year, I can now heartily recommend 'The Cabinet Company' located at 12/16 Petchkasem Road just at the Northern end of town on the left (heading toward Cha Am) before you get to Klai Kang Won Palace. They are right on the main road albeit a little set back, so you need to drive slowly as you approach or might go straight past.

They have a web site, with contact details at:

http://www.thecabinet.co.th/

Initially I thought they were a little expensive by Thai standards but the extra money is definitely worth it if you are doing things from a distance. Not only did they do an excellent job on my kitchen but they sorted out all the problems that the developer's builder had built into my bathrooms. My experience of other tradesmen in Thailand leaves me thinking that in the long run, using Cabinet Company has probably saved me money and loads of hassle. My experience is that they are:

Professional
Attentive to customer requirements
Prompt
Clean
Respectful
Trustworthy
Serious about aftersales care
Understanding of western standards (At least part Swedish owned)

There are probably more superlatives but this reference is glowing enough as it is.

After an initial meeting, all my dealings were undertaken by email and all their office staff speak good English. All their tradesmen spoke at least some English and were obviously a 'cut above' the normal standard. As an example, how many other Thai tradesmen have you seen reading a two inch thick science fiction novel on their lunch break!? Hope your house goes well!

Do you have a phone number for this bussiness?
We tried the web site and it doesn't seem to be working.

Thanks

The link works fine from my PC but the images seem to have disappeared from their 'Intro' page. Clink on the 'Contacts' link from the Intro page though and the info Buksida describes appears along with a few images that don't really do justice to their product or service, which I thought was excellent.

Just an alternative view on this cabinet company that you are all raving about. My wife and I went into the showroom in february 2006, spoke to a young Swedish guy who helped us with our plans and gave us an estimate for cabinets, fitting and appliances which was a six figure sum but we were willing to pay for the job to be done properly and at that time thought it was reasonable.. After several e-mails back and forth we arranged a date in March 2006 that we would be back in Hua Hin to finalise the plans and the budget. On arrival at the showroom we were told our contact had left for Singapore to renew his visa, he didn't contact me to tell he had left nor had he left any instructions for anyone to follow up. No one knew any thing about us..so we walked out.

I know this may seem like an isolated incident but on talking to several people about this I have heard several bad reports about this company. I think that for a few years they have had no competition and now there are a few kitchen people about maybe they will have to clean up their act.
Needless to say I took my business else where and got the same job done for 100,000 baht less.

You pay your money and you make your choice...

Exactly my experiences with them. Damned expensive and no service. They never kept any of the
promises they made, nor did they have any follow-up with things promised. Finally I bought from
them just a hob/oven brand "Teka" because it has one electric plate and electric oven in addition to
gas plates. Teka has been broken several times and it took them more than four months to fix the
first warranty repair. The second time it took about three months, then they sent the wrong spare part,
then after couple of month a broken spare part and the thing is still not working properly.
I have given up on them and good riddance!

Stay away from cabinet, very expensive and they subcontract the work out to boneheads .

Our 3 month job took 9 months, most of the work had to be redone by them (in some cases twice)before we would pay.

Phone calls ignored, no communication between the sales staff and the workers, no supervision of work, different people turning up or mostly not turning up, the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.

Very frustrating outfit to deal with.

On the other hand they did our kitchen and couldn't fault a thing with quality or service.

That was about 2 years ago mind. And they're not cheap.

I used Grand Hill Kitchens 2 months ago and they did a terrific job at a very cheap price. They can be found going north out of Hua Hin just before Hua Hin hospital.
