Looks like boy-monk is taking the lead. Apparently the 'authorities' are now trying to ban tour operators and tourism companies using images of monks or Buddhas in their promotional material.
Who is the happier man, he who has braved the storm of life and lived or he who has stayed securely on shore and merely existed? - Hunter S Thompson
I voted for #5, a good pic and as many stories behind it as there are faces. A happy pirate ship not, or maybe yes? Some smiles and waves, some frowns, and some hiding their faces. For sure a mix of Thai, Cambodian, Burmese and probably others, Bangledishi's(sp), Indonesian illegals etc. Even a mama san supervising out the upper window (of is she the Captain?...LOL), and a young lass on deck stitching nets, perhaps next to her husband/boyfriend.
A good "slice of real life" photo from here. Pete

A happy pirate ship / fishing boat maybe, (when they are alongside the quay wall) at sea they tend to get rather drunk on whisky and start fighting, some crew members end up getting thrown overboard, my wife has lost three cousens this way
Kendo.
I narrowed the difficult selection down to 1, 2 & 3 as I think they are all Thailand as it is rather than what we would like to see or what the TAT would like show you.
Does number 2 have a clue to the photographer there (Credit Suisse).
Difficult choice but number 1 for me.

I think 8 is much more effective image than 10 for sea/sunset. The young monk is brilliant - love the look in his eyes. But 2, although it could use much more depth and light, is the non touristy reality that makes LOS what it is for us.
