Looking for a band to play at a garden party

Post by terry+carmen »

We are looking for a band to play at a garden party Sunday 24 Aug for about two hours around 3.30pm till 5.30pm.

Jazz/rock open to ideas.

You don't have to be professional just enthusiastic.

Anthony used to be a great entertainer but he might be too busy with other things now. Also he didn´t have a band. JW or Dawn might know someone.

Paleo? They're enthusiastic, but not very good, IMO.
I'd go to El Murphy's on a weekday night & see the band there. They're an extremely good rock band. I used to have the phone number of the singer/lead guitarist, Cartoon, but I don't now. I'm sure JW does, though. However, I don't think it's a bad idea to see a band before you book them. You can speak to the band on one of their breaks, Cartoon speaks extremely good English.

For Jazz, I'd recommend going to Ray's Place one evening. I think on Monday they have jam sessions. Again, you can see the musicians perform & have a word with them yourself. Good luck.

If you want Thai music ( Most of e- sarn music ). My son have one. But they live long way . They can come but price should be about 35,000 Bath.

They have about 5 singer , 5-6 musicain, nearly 10 dancer and their stage open air, big speaker.

Normal they play about 4-5 Hours

You wont find a better band than Stone Head who play in El Murhps. Great set of guys who will be more than happy to play for you.

Have a great party!
