Paradise(2025) is a good crime drama with a sci-fi fantasy twist.
Great heads up, colonel sah! More of a twisty sci-fi thriller than a crime drama, but I'm on ep 4 and mid-binge.
Does look good, but watching shed loads at the moment! Despite "thecolonel's" recommendation, I'm surprised to see DM agreeing with anything that "The Guardian" have to say....

Also looking for new material (no horror/murders/feminist/gen-Z wokefests) since my supply has been exhausted now, and I'm re-binging old stuff.
A few I like;
Blue Bloods (cop show, 14 seasons, will keep you busy)
Longmire ( another cop show)
Schitts creek ( comedy)
Hell on Wheels (western re railroads)
Ray Donovan ( about a fixer in hollywood)
Lioness ( special forces stuff)
Mayor of Kingstown ( semi crooked mayor of a big city)
Let me know any you like

I just finished Dept Q. and it's a 6 out of ten from me. It's been compared to Slow Horses but doesn't come near to living up to that either in style, premise, scripting or acting. It's also very gory in small doses.
It's not actually awful per se, but I find the lead detective's relentless dry sarcasm just tedious, and it's not terribly well acted IMO (although I think that could just be the restrictions placed on the actors by the script, there are some well-known names in there). I'll maybe try the second series when it comes but only when I have a slow patch in my TV/film schedule. I'd rewatch Slow Horses first.
