Thailand's feral rooster infestation

No such noise pollution protection exists in Thailand (where excessive noise is practically encouraged), and they seem to like or are immune to the constant screeching of wild roosters; maybe it comforts them, who knows?

Feral roosters serve no purpose whatsoever, I can hear at least four of them screaming as I type this, it is not pleasant background noise ...

Never had a problem with roosters so it must be an area specific issue - now dogs are a different matter altogether and I hear them on and off, all the time!!

Its more of a rural thing as they're not as common in cities and urban areas. Most Thai households outside the towns and cities with a bit of land have a bunch of them running around screeching all day, and that sound carries!
