I believe there was a big fight in one of the bars, so all are punished with 3 nights of early closing

I subsequently heard the fight was in Chom Jan, the big Thai pub near Soi 94

Crackdown still in force (only the second time I've been out at night in HH this year). There was a huge rain storm and power outage last night, and the bars were kicking bewildered tourists out into the darkness at midnight ... Thais fighting each other in a Thai club results in tourist bars in a different area getting punished again - only in Hua Hin where the "police" have to wave their appendages around to make themselves feel more important. :banghead:

No doubt BB's son was out until 5am though. :duck:

Yes, my son drowned rat was home well before midnight - I'm surprised the dogs didn't bite him coming home so early.

I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist but.....
So the owner of the nightclub who was organizing minibuses of bar owners going to BKK to complain about the Police being heavy handed with their closing times punishment, gets his club reportedly closed down for 5 years due to a fight. All the bars are punished again! Mmmmmmm I small something fishy!

My hearsay contribution, from a Thai source. The reason it's a five year closure (if it actually is) is due to under age girls being found there. Clarity is unlikely to emerge here.

5 year closure is a joke. They'll just re-open with a different name, as they did with Maya.

Its all good business for Hua Hin's brown envelope collectors (who are usually the cause of these crackdowns) :duck:

I don't believe they were police! They were government officials in light brown uniforms! I have been told they were doing a check of licensing and employees!
Of course the police and their bars were given a few hours notice to get things in order and hide employees from Laos etc!
