I think in Singapore we call that type of noodle Hong Kong style fried noodles, typically only available at Chinese restaurants or major hotels, usually as part of a ten course meal.
First time I've heard of crispy frog porridge, though I've seen them include century egg as part of the package. There is a pork brain soup place I can recommend in Bangkok, though. Much better than what was available in Singapore at the time.. ;)

Wow! I like my English (or should I say UK ) Chinese food, but you guys are coming up with suggestions I'd be too squeamish to even attempt

Interesting though.

I used to get great huoguo (spicy Chongqing hotpot) in Dubai, very interesting ingredients, of course brains and various intestines included as ordered! I haven't seen anything very adventurous Chinese-wise in Thailand, although I don't venture to BKK much.

If we stay this far off topic we'll have pharvey here soon telling us what at his LHG serves up at home. :D

PS - 'crunchy frog' was in a chocolate assortment in a Monty Python sketch long ago, I had crunchy battered frog Isaan style last week, no chocolate though!
