A beautiful building.

Thinking more about what you said about the stadium again, as a stadium in Thailand, it is very good, compared to other Thai stadiums. However, I have to agree, when compared to other stadiums in the region e.g. Malaysia, it does look very dated.

Knocking it down - an option but quite impractical. They could build the world's best stadium on the same site, but the elephant in the room would always be the transport and parking problems. If somebody really needs to build a new stadium (I agree it would be nice), it would need to be designed properly, and be future proofed with a first class communications infrastructure. Trying to re-create the wheel in its current location would be an absolute disaster.

One sad bit from the match was player of the tournament, Nguyen Xuan Son's demise. Whilst every Thailand supporter was happy to see him leave the game, I don't think anybody would really want to see him leave like this.

Just talking to someone who's an experienced physio and has worked in sports medicine. They said it would be highly unusual for an otherwise fit, young athlete to suffer the kind of double fracture visible on those x-rays with no high-force collision involved. However one thing that would explain it would be a history of excessive steroid use.

The big surprise of that incident is Madam Pang paid his hospital bill personally. I know she is loaded, but surely with International Football he shouldn't have had to rely upon handouts. Some sort of sports insurance should have been in place.

I saw something at last night's game that I'd never seen in Thailand before. Ground staff going around at half-time repairing divots and putting forks into the ground.

This was a regular sight in English football, especially after a lot of rain to aid drainage.

The repair of divots I understand, but the insertion of forks into the ground baffled me a bit. It hasn't rained for weeks. Does anybody know why they were doing it?
