^ I've always had a huge interest with all things regarding Space Exploration, be it NASA (and now others) Missions, Satellites, Stations, Photography or more....

I've always enjoyed photography, but never been anything other than a novice. I can't travel too far these days and anything energetic is unfortunately a distant memory (though I do dream.. ). Anywho, to the point!! I am starting to look at "Astrophotography" and am truly loving it! Of course, I am still very much the novice, but hell it's enjoyable.

I'm starting very much with the basics but as with all things "Photography" or Telescopes, things can get expensive - I'm just enjoying things slightly cheaper and "Near(er) Earth"!!

Boeing’s first astronaut mission ended Friday night with an empty capsule landing and two test pilots still in space, left behind until next year because NASA judged their return too risky.

Six hours after departing the International Space Station, Starliner parachuted into New Mexico’s White Sands Missile Range, descending on autopilot through the desert darkness.

It was an uneventful close to a drama that began with the June launch of Boeing’s long-delayed crew debut and quickly escalated into a dragged-out cliffhanger of a mission stricken by thruster failures and helium leaks. For months, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams’ return was in question as engineers struggled to understand the capsule’s problems.

Boeing insisted after extensive testing that Starliner was safe to bring the two home, but NASA disagreed and booked a flight with SpaceX instead. Their SpaceX ride won’t launch until the end of this month, which means they’ll be up there until February — more than eight months after blasting off on what should have been a quick trip.

Caught this very late, but a SPACE X launch coming up very soon (+/- 20 mins). Another test of the Super Heavy, but this time with a big twist - a "Return and Capture" of the Booster Rocket using what's being called the "Chopstick" - the Booster being returned to and capture mid-air on the Launch Platform. One way or another, this is going to be something to see!!

Well, the "Catch" was incredible! That's a piece of history for sure - quite something.

Not just the question of the re-usable factor, it was how the thing was "Caught" - incredible.

I shan't profess to see what Trump will do or our resident political expert "sateeb" will say After all, he and others called the huge benefit that Labour would bring to the UK Sorry - needs to go to another thread!!

Anywho, what Musk and Space X have done has moved things fast forward. Great for Space Exploration, but certainly not great for the debris in Space or World Security (think Starlink and Satellites).

I'm glad it's Elon that has a sophisticated tech net around the world and not the warmongers that are, once again, driving us into world wars.
