This is a request for any forum members, their friends, families or anyone who shops in Makro, to please be considerate and help the checkout operators.

Approximately 3 weeks ago, my wife (farang) bought a few items in Makro and handed over 1000 baht to the male checkout operator.
Upon checking her change she noticed she was 100 baht short.

More recently, maybe 10 days ago, she was once again in Makro for a few items.
She noticed that the same male checkout operator was available ......
She handed over 1000 Thb ........ Once again she was 100 baht short in her change!

She reported it to the "Customer Service" desk and the assistant there quickly went to the checkout operator with my wife. Once again she was quickly given the 100 baht with no questions asked. The checkout operator was "very sorry, madam, sorry"
On one occasion, yes, it could be a genuine mistake

So, despite the tills being set up to show exactly how much change you should be given, there appears to be more training required.
Please help these poor checkout out operators to keep their jobs, please check your change carefully, especially if handing over a 1000 Baht note.
Also be aware that there may be a distraction technique being used, e.g. they may place the receipt into your hand to disrupt your change counting etc.
As mentioned this is two occasions the the last few weeks, however it is at least the fourth time that this has happened to my wife in Makro.
