He was cleared of affray. His co-defendants all pleaded guilty. Gerrard claimed self defence, even though the person he claimed he felt threatened by, never did anything to him and earlier Gerrard has called him a prick. But he felt threatened as he was being approached. Gerrard admitted he was drunk on a scale of 7 out of 10. I am no lawyer, but considering he actually thumped the guy 3 times, without retaliation, I think he got away with it. I think a charge of common assault may have been harder to defend, but as I say, I am no expert.

So after Chelseas win last night, the spuds have to beat Aresenal tonight to have any realistic chance of qualifying for the champions league. Should make for an entertaining game. I might stay up to watch it.

Yup, massive game tonight. Spurs must win. An Arsenal win would guarantee them champions league football. A draw would pretty much do it, too. Would be a horrible one to take at home.

Atmosphere is going to be insane on the streets outside tonight. No tickets for the game but, living a minute's walk from the stadium, I'll join in the pre-match (and hopefully after) goings on. :D

Oi cheeky, haha, is that because they're guaranteed 3 points at Home to Everton on the 22nd?!!

Which I agree they are. In which case I agree with your assessment.

A draw tonight and one win v Newcs or Everton and they are sorted.

Spurs will beat Norwich & Burnley

Far from a guarantee. We struggle against teams who will, most likely, set a low block. We struggle to break them down.

Nothing would please me more than Dele coming on to poke home an injury time winner. And Trippier to rattle Arsenal with a sublime free kick in the previous game. :D

I have three sons who all support different London teams - Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs and the son whose a Spurs supporter has a ticket for tonight’s game, so at least one of them will be happy with whatever the outcome is!!

At least you raised one of them right, Dannie Boy. One out of three, though far from perfect, is better than none.

You have my thoughts and prayers for the other two.

And you still wouldn't need all your fingers on one hand to count how many free kicks he has scored in the EPL. Unlikely scenario or have I just put a curse on Arsenal ?

Mind you if the likes of Elneny, Cedric Soares, Tavares and Holding make an appearance as they have in the last handful of games then anything is possible.

The best defender in the league (maybe the world) Romero is out of the London derby. Shite, shite news.

Sanchez in to replace him.

Think he scored a couple in a couple of weeks at Newcastle before he got injured. Definitely one more in him this season.

That 2nd foul by Holding on Son could easily have been a straight red. What a dumb thing to do. Too hyped up. Too stupid.
