I keep hearing the salary figure of 28m per week, but have never seen any evidence of it. I doubt any employee is paid weekly.
Nick Candy has said he will help with finances untiil the club is sold. I truly hope he is a serious player in this, as he claims - with a consortium behind him. A Brit Chelsea fan who attended the game on Saturday is what we need.
Palace caused Man City a frustrating evening yesterday, holding them to a goalless draw, so whilst that’s good news for Liverpool supporters, they have an extremely tricky away fixture tomorrow at much improved Arsenal - if they can win that, then they are definitely back in contention, but they’ll need to be on top form to do so.
Liverpool kept the pressure on Man City last night with a 2-0 away win against Arsenal and moving within 1 point having played the same number of games - the fixture against City on 10th April could genuinely be a decider, although as we’ve seen in the past, there are often some unexpected results towards the end of the season, so could go down to the wire!!
Elsewhere, (many peoples favourite) Harry Kane scored one goal (and missed at least one sitter) to move up to 95 away goals scored in the Premiership and is now the record holder for away goals. He’s still only number 5 in the total Premiership goals with 177, but assuming he doesn’t leave to play overseas or gets injured, is on course to break Alan Shearers record that currently stands at 260.

Well this is me pretending to understand Wendyball - hell, I thought I understood the LHG!!
I thought the Africa Nations hit a few of the top clubs in recent seasons, but Liverpool have weathered it well this season - could that be a difference? Liverpool's attack seems to have been strengthened and the defence with Van Dijk coming back is far better I believe....

Oh, won't BB be a happy man!! That said he (Kane not BB) has a way to go yet I guess!!

I thought this the most comprehensive report on the runners and riders looking to take over at Chelsea. It's astonishing the number of real, genuine Chelsea fans that are involved in the various bids. Not so sure how much that will mean to the American bank running the process, but it will probably mean more to Abramovich, who in all likelihood has met many of them.
Anyone see the little, greasy wank-stain that tied itself to the post at Everton yesterday? Can guarantee it's a militant vegan and goes by they/them pronouns. Par for the course.
But along came a hero.
Look at the dude giving it everything cranking the bolt cutters. And I mean everything.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.
Aubameyang has scored 9 goals in less then 2 months at Barcelona I think. Why wasn't he doing that at Arsenal? The below highlighted comment may be the key. Did he think his Arsenal teammates were inferior and not worth his effort? He had little discipline at Arsenal, even after a big contract extension and being made captain. He let the team and Arteta down badly IMO.
"We'll see where we can go from here after this big victory," Aubameyang said. (Real Madrid 0-4)
"I was very excited to come to Barcelona and do well. It's very easy when you play with such good players."

For whatever reason he wasn’t doing it at Arsenal so the best thing was for him to move on - Arsenal are doing well without him and Barcelona are doing ok with him.
He moved and was more or less shoved. It was a free transfer so at the moment Barcelona has made out like a bandit. No idea if future terms will apply next season if he stays at Barca.
