Boo hoo, the Mirror have always been anti Arsenal, never mind, I`m sure Spurs will exact revenge when they eventually get to play the game, won`t they?
I suggest you take a look at the back pages of the other tabloids, or are they all anti gooners?

Chelsea have picked up 2 points from a possible 12 over their last 4 Premier League games. Watch them go and batter Tottenham all over the pitch at the weekend now.

I really don't understand why we can't display Brighton levels of football when we play Chelsea. We just roll over every time.

Why are Tottenham always so damn rubbish against them. And will most likely be rubbish again. :banghead:

Chelsea have played 7 times in 21 days on top of an already heavy schedule. On top of which they have had and continue to have players out injured, out with covid and out with both covid and injuries at the same time. On the one occassion they sought a postponement with 7 covid cases plus injuries, it was refused. None of their matches have been postponed. Why would any team want to, when they can see the stats and how the players are being affected. The schedule is beating them, not much else. When this madness finally returns to normal, we should see a return to form.

Is this the start of the excuses before the 4th Round FA Cup tie, in the unlikely event that Chelsea should come second? :run:
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Oh, I totally get that injuries, covid etc may be to blame for the dip in form (though I don't have much sympathy as you had 200 odd million on the bench yesterday) and Chelsea have my upmost respect for actually turning up to play their games. :duck:

But it doesn't explain why you still run rings around Tottenham when you play us. We've beaten the likes of West Ham recently. Should have beaten Liverpool. Played well against decent sides...

Then we just have absolute shockers against yourselves. Or you guys manage to completely up your game for a day. Here's hoping that changes at the weekend. Being bullied by Chelsea four times in a season is just not on. :D

Why aren't Spurs beating Chelsea? Maybe it's simply because their C+ game is better than your C+ game

West Ham lost at home to Leeds and Southampton recently so beating them is nothing to particularly crow about. Plus you lost to them in October, so there's that!

You have had some poor results/performances too, is my point. You were spared your blushes against a team that could well go down (Crikey, I hope so! Image) in the 97th minute when your front 3 couldn't score. Couldn't beat 10 man Southampton(or Liverpool), nor the Prem bottom team for last 5 months(ahem, erm EvertonImageImage) when everyone else does! Got whacked by Rennes, got beat 3 nil at home to a very poor Man u team(7th)

Maybe your team are just not that good atm, and maybe that's why they don't do well against an albeit misfiring Chelsea team...

If Spuds were on top form I could understand your frustration, as Chelsea are stuttering, but so are your boys.

Even if you beat Leicester your still 9 points behind your best halfway tally, and same tally as last season which was deemed poor enough to get Jose the sack, and you finished 7th??

I do however admire your optimism!

Still calling second place in Prem ?

In a nutshell really, I guess. This January window is bloody annoying too. We're in a good position to get into the champions league spots. Strengthen the bloody team and a season in the champions league will repay whatever signings were done! But no. Dragging or heels and probably end up with no one. Not to mention we've got 4 or 5 games to squish in somewhere compared to others chasing the spots.

Make a signing or two for feck sake.

Talking about betting, here we go with this crap once again. :banghead:

Football Association looking into yellow card

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/60060754

The Football Association is looking into a yellow card received by an Arsenal player in a Premier League match earlier this season following reports of irregular betting patterns.

No details have been revealed over who the player is.

But The Athletic reports

that bookmakers contacted the FA after unusual betting patterns were spotted.

An FA spokesperson said: "The FA is aware of the matter in question and is looking into it."

It is understood that the matter is not under formal investigation by the FA.

Spot-betting allows people to place bets on specific details of matches - such as bookings, or the number of corners - rather than the overall outcome of a game.

In April 2018, Lincoln defender Bradley Wood was banned from playing for six years after twice getting intentionally booked during his side's FA Cup run the previous season.

Wood received a five-year ban for match-fixing offences, and a further 12-month suspension after admitting 22 charges of betting on the outcome of matches and one charge of passing on information.

Note: If I was a betting man my suspicions would fall on Aubameyang.

The Arse, "rotten to the core".

Lost and Arcadianagain discuss :naughty:  :duck:

Seriously though, "spot betting" lends itself to abuse by lower paid players targeted by betting gangs.

Fair play Spuds looked back to their attacking best.

Even though Leicester should be ashamed at not killing the game particularly from the KO at 2-2, that was naive and unforgivable.

That said Spuds got the victory in the end.

So, 9 points behind LFC but 2 games in hand....

Just do me a favour and beat all those teams down at the bottom, except mine of course!

Oh come along, "paid off ref" simply playing enough extra time for Spurs to come back.... :neener: :duck:

There weren't any "suspicious betting patterns" were there....

Don't know about the added minutes in this game

What I do know is that in a disturbing number of cases the ball is not actually 'in play' for anything like the number of minutes added on, which it should be according to the rules
