^ Well, let's be absolutely fair, any and all Premier League clubs would and will take advantage where they can - Spurs included my little lost friend! :neener:

Arsenal have taken an obvious advantage - IMHO, why should any club be able to postpone a match due to injuries or "Country Commitments"? Neither has anything to do with Covid and under "normal conditions", this would never happen.

That said, look at rules in rugby. Matches are not necessarily postponed - if you are unable to field a team, the opposition is awarded a 28-0 win!!

Perhaps introduce this into the Premier League and award the opposition a 2-0 win?! That may gain a reaction..... :D

Bang on, pal.

The new guidelines brought into place for covid was always going to be abused eventually. Liverpool first, albeit they said they had a bunch of 'false positives' so were technically staying within the spirit of the guidelines for postponement. But Arsenal have completely taken the piss and outright played the system.

Subsequently, Arsenal have become quite the hated team amongst managers and fans alike, now. Tuchel responded on whether it was right for Arsenal to postpone with, "It's much better for me not to answer the question. Much, much better."

There were a variety of options Arsenal could have taken to field a team (recalling the players they loaned out just last week, for one :?).

Other teams have had to suffer with injuries and players out for covid. Arsenal chose to abuse the system.

I think the backlash from this incident will force the Premier league to rethink/reword the current guidelines for postponement.

Lost you are an extremely biased numpty. They did not have enough players 12 off for various reasons. Therefore the appealed and it was granted. Any other team would have done the same. The fact other teams are annoyed according to the bible of lost is irrelevant.

Aside from Arsenal fans, you're the only plonker agreeing with the decision.

By the way, I'll take all this back if it transpires there was a few covid cases in the end. As it stands, with the info at hand, it was self-inflicted they 'couldn't field a team' (though they could) and therefore should be a forfeit rather than a postponement.

Look you numpty, they applied the GOVERNING body said yes. It may lead to an inquiry. Other TEAMS would have done the same thing. I agree the premier league have lost their integrity . It is another example the formula 1 debacle.
Sports are being ruined by management. Get this fact into your head ARSENAL APPLIED FOR THE POSTPONEMENT THE PREMIER LEAGUE GRANTED it was applied for not self inflicted. :cuss: :banghead:

You’re obviously not going to get completely unbiased opinions from Spurs or Arsenal fans. As a neutral, I believe that the decision makers got it wrong - ok there may be some legitimate reasons why Arsenal couldn’t field a normal “first” team, but that’s why they run reserves/under 21 teams so that they have players who can step up when required. The biggest problem is that there’s too much money at stake - teams are either battling to get a top 5/6 position and qualify for Europe, or fighting off relegation so they play the system to their advantage. I don’t necessarily blame Arsenal for trying, but in this case I think the decision makers have been too lenient in their conclusion - Arteta might have unearthed a couple of 17 year old stars!!

Over the past 10 or so years I've been on this Forum I have found, with one or two exceptions, that the Spuds and Gooners on here are somewhat inclined to whinge a lot, something I'm hard pressed to find from fans of the other "top 6" clubs.

Chill out guys, it could be worse, you could support Man U.

Much more important than whether clubs are flouting the rules or not, how about the survival chances of Rafa at Everton (i.e. more than this week) and can the “richest” club in the world (Newcastle) avoid relegation?
