As far as I’m aware, it’s the same for two doses of any vaccine - they all recommend having a third booster!!

I had 2 Pfizer doses and tried to get a Booster shot in Bangkok, but all registration possibilities say that it will be available only 6 months after the second shot (9.9.2021). I thought it was reduced to 3 month.

I’m not 100% certain with the Pfizer vaccines, but with SV and AZ as first/second vaccines, the third (Pfizer) vaccine could be administered just 3 months after the second dose.

I can't find the latest advice, but I'm fairly sure the latest advice (that I've seen) says 6 months following a double Pfizer.

It was changed to 3 months for Pfizer sometime last week. No idea where the articles are now. I've actually been commenting to my daughter that if correct we should get a notification in February instead of May.

I saw the timing change after Omicron raised its ugly head, and here they seem to be following what the USA and perhaps UK and EU are doing. As usual though, I won't count on it until I see the notification on the app.

Edit: I'll update as I see and read more about it.

If I read that correct, you get a better service than we get here. We've had to register, and then wade through dozens of pages every couple of days to see if we've been called yet.

However, it sort of works here. If you see somebody you know on a list, just let them know. I was told by 3 different people when it was my turn, and have also let several others know they're listed (this was one of my early concerns that people wouldn't see their names listed, but community spirit has kicked in :D).

We've got two different things going on here. 1) Daughter is in a group setting organized by her school. The school chases and notifies and marches all of them to the local hospital when the time comes. 2) Both wife and I are registered with Bangkok Hospital for Pfizer/Moderna and regardless of Mor Phrom, we'll get notified by them when it's time and vaccine is available.

I'm just back from Bluport duly boosted up.

Again, hats off to all the staff there. I was 2.5 hours door to door which is pretty reasonable. Booster was AZ after SV/AZ initially.

Moderna Booster Side Effects

Post by Ratsima »

I had my paid-for Moderna "booster" on Monday at Vibhavadi hospital in Bangkok. We drove from Korat. The hospital was well-organized, but the parking there is a madhouse. Guards were directing people up and up and up only for drivers to discover there were no open slots anywhere, so down and down and down. We snuck our little Toyota Vios into a non-parking spot on the 8th floor outside of a maintenance room and under a dodgy looking AC compressor.

I had some fairly nasty side effects from my first two AstraZeneca jabs, but the Moderna booster was much, much worse. Soon after the shot, my arm began to ache from the injection site down to my fingers. I've never before experienced arm pain after any injection. By midnight I had a very high fever, the chills and a killer headache. In the morning I could barely get out of bed and experienced poor balance, weakness all over and brain fog. I tried to bake a loaf of bread but kept losing track of the time and where I was. At the end I forgot to score the top of the loaf. I bake twice a week so normally this is all second nature to me.

I thought the AZ side effects were bad, but at least then I was still able to do my morning cycling workout and engage in my normal daily activities. Yesterday I spent most of the day on the floor watching NFL games.

I still had a mild fever this morning, but feeling much better. Weakness is only mild and the brain fog is slowly lifting.

It's been a very weird and disturbing experience.

Oh dear, whilst I sympathise with what you have been and are going through, I hope this is a 'you' thing.

For my first AZ, I just had some pain around the area where the needle went in and the back of my neck, but it went quite quickly. For the 2nd, no real reaction at all, but the next day, I was just very weary and stayed in bed until the afternoon. The following day I drove back to Hua Hin from Bkk, partly in response to a new lockdown and the false claim of movement controls.

I have my Moderna booster on the 24th! :(

Strange, I received an e-mail from Intervac this morning with a PDF attachment, which was an International Vaccine Certificate showing 3 jabs. The cert had a QR Code, which when scanned produces an International Vaccine Certificate showing just 2 jabs :?
My 3rd jab has now shown up on my International Vaccine Certificate on Mor Phrom. So, it took a few days, but it got there.

I'm sure it is. Reactions seem to be highly varied. My wife had nothing more than a slightly sore shoulder after her Moderna booster.

I'm much better today. I tried to work on my wife's website yesterday. This was sort of a disaster due to my impaired brain function. It took me hours to figure out that something wasn't working simply because of a missing curly bracket ("}"). :banghead:

It does actually state that on the in app application form

Perhaps it didn't when you applied, but now does(I had just updated my app before I looked)

Btw, I'm not seeing this free 'option' that you mentioned, just a payment button via QR(Internet banking)
