By all accounts, Jones had a very good game. Quite an achievement to come back from his injury problems and surprised he had to play the full 90 minutes after such a long absence.

But the only thing that will work for United is a full clear out. In the modern game they are effectivelly starting with 10 men in any case.

Yes, I agree. One of United's better players on the day. Not saying much really as they were rubbish from the get go.

How much can Premier League teams spend this window according to Fifa Fair Play rules?

(Come on Levy. Get the wallet out!)

As long as his medical goes ok, Kieran Trippier is returning to the Premier to play for Newcastle. Good signing.

But for how many games(in the Prem)?

That said they may overtake Everton, who play them twice in a short space of time soon

Another one returning to the Premier league. Philippe Coutinho will be joining Aston Villa.

Everton paying the price for having an old fashioned out of date manager. EFC wanted Coutinho and funds were cleared.

And if he's a good manager what's he doing falling out with players(Digne)? This simply proves he can't manage. It's literally his job to manage those players, keep them happy and buy into his ideas. The clue is in the name.. Manager!

Four Prem teams want Digne, plus a few in Europe, so the Manager is literally costing the club their best players with his inability to 'manage' plus new signings don't want to sign for his toxic methods

Hopeless.... literally!

Is stupid what's happening with Digne. One of your best players and Rafa wants him gone? :?

In other news Son is out till next month with an injury. He'll miss the arsenal game, Leicester game and the two Chelsea games for sure. Perfect.

I'm currently revising my predictions for Spurs' final league position.

I actuallly think he's 2nd rate and clearly doesn't want to be there. So get rid of him and use the money elsewhere, if they can sell him.

He's gone off the boil that's for sure, I'll concede that

I think he was statistically the best in the Prem at putting crosses into the box last season. And wasn't bad at defending either. That's got to be a good thing right?

So I want to ask you guys this, as I want an unfettered opinion from supporters of other teams....... What does it take for Rafa to be sacked?

Today is Hull away in FA Cup then Leicester at home then Norwich away..... You can look it all up.

But what sequence of results means he's gone? Or is he bullet proof this season? Not what you think 'should' happen to him but what you think 'will' happen to him

I have my opinion but I want to hear yours first....

TIA

Not a great debut for him. FA Cup loss at home to Cambridge.

Well, a goal for Hull after 45 seconds won't help him that's for sure.

But really, who knows. If he loses the dressing room, it would speed the process up. If the fans discontent gets too loud to ignore (Tottenham fans basically sacked the manager vs United that day). If theres anyone better that's available. A multitude of variables.

Christ, Hull almost 2 up as I type.

What options are there if Rafa goes? He's got a great track record and has joined a club in dissaray. It was never going to be easy.

Maybe you can swap with Howe?

I don't think Rafa has a great track record say last 5 years which is really important when you're that age.

I think football tactics style etc have moved on and some managers haven't moved with the times.

Many players don't like the old guard a la Ferguson any more. They want a younger manager who has been there quite recently(Pep, Simeone, Gerrard)

He joined a club in disarray.... Fair comment. But he's done nothing to abate that. We look worse in truth.

For record I was neutral on Rafa's appointment. I was open minded and couldn't care less that managed LFC

But I can't help feeling this just isn't going to work. He doesn't seem to able to lift players or make them play better. I'm convinced there are other managers who could get more out this, admittedly ordinary, squad.

Plus the Digne affair which I've already said is proof of poor man management

As re FA cup, Everton can't cope with being in 1 competition never mind two.

So despite taking 120 mins to beat a poor injury hit Championship side, I think that result was irrelevant.

I think if he loses the next two Prem games (Leicester home Norwich Away) I think he should be sacked and I hope he is. He took Newcastle down and he's so stubborn he could do the same to us

I honestly think that Assistant manager Ferguson would do a better job with formations tactics subs and man management. And I'm not a huge 'Duncan is a legend guy' either(Bloody nice bloke tho!)

Watch this video for a bit of a giggle... ImageImageImage

Tottenham B team go behind to the mighty Morecambe in the FA Cup. 😂

No depth at all.
