A more realistic view of Spurs getting into the top 4 by someone who should know what they’re talking about?

Conte is the man. Tottenham's Godfather. So I'm going to accept his conservative opinion on us making top four while still being quietly optimistic we can make it this season. :D

Matchdays 22 and 23 in January will be the decider for us I reckon, both in terms of points and confidence/momentum. Arsenal at home then Chelsea away. Of course, we could just go and balls it up to Watford later today!

Three Premier League players make the list this year. Actually a little surprised Kane's on there. He went 3 months or something with a single league goal.

Kane.... sadly, there's two ways of looking at that. He went 3 months without a goal and he's still top 8!

Also Ronaldo's tally wasn't in the Prem so only 2 prem players

1-1 and Arsenal down to ten. That's better. :thumb:

Jurgen Klopp will miss tomorrow's game with Chelsea due to suspected covid. At least there won't be a day of excuses tomorrow should they lose.

"The grass is too green"

"Too much air in the sky"

"The goalkeeper shouldn't be allowed to save a penalty".

Used to really like Klopp but he's now the biggest clown in Premier League management.

Thank you City. Arsenal looked very decent until they had a 2-3 minute capitulation. Penalty and a sending off moments later.

Now for the big one. Watford vs Tottenham. A massive must win game for spurs. Come on Conte, work your magic.

Tottenham pathetic in the final third so far. Particularly Emerson. :?

Fun fact of today, Arsenal become the first premier league team to get 100 red cards. Dirty, dirty club.

Bloody wank. Ten minutes to go and I'm very, very close to turning it off. I don't think Watford have a clean sheet yet this season.

Same old story for Tottenham. We can't break down teams that put all 11 players behind the ball. Bloody annoying.

Current form table over the last 6. There's that 2nd place I was talking about.

Could all go to shit in the blink of an eye, mind.

This morning, I was reflecting on how difficult 2021 had been... but then I remembered Ronaldo's 47 goals across all competitions and realised it could have been far worse.

HmmmmImage

So you beat the current worst team in the league with a 97th minute header from a defender.

In other words your strike force simply couldn't score against the current worse defence in the league, and yet you *still* reckon you will finish above Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham and United.

This performance(nb not the result) reaffirms to me that you'll be 4th at best.

Which, on a separate point, in real terms is pretty much as good as finishing second anyway and would be considered a big success for Conte & Spurs.

As I suggested last week you have Arsenal & Chelsea coming up in Jan, which will reveal a lot. But in mid March you have United away nb immediately followed by Hammers at home.

And it's those four games that will decide your finishing place this season, and that's assuming no other obvious slip-ups along the way(which in itself would be brave to do so)
