Didn't know you were a footy fan, Colonel. Nice to have others put their 2 cents in. Seems to be me waffling on about Spurs most the time here.

When I tried to put my 2 cents in, you didn’t like it!!

I enjoy your friendly dig here and there. And that defeat you were talking about will obviously have to wait. :thumb:
It was intended as good humoured banter - never mind a new year is soon to be upon us and I’m sure the spuds will oblige :thumb:

Liverpool and Chelsea dropping points left, right and centre. Confident we can catch them. Arsenal have City next so that's a 0 point game for them.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Spurs finish 2nd this season.

On a lighter note, it's still in our hands to move 4th and Conte is the first Tottenham manager ever to go the first 7 games unbeaten.

Agree ridiculous decision.

Ive said for 40+ years, just ban offside rule completely. Let the goals flow

At the very least there should be 'clear daylight' between the attacker and last defender

And even then I'd want it goal side of the 18 yard line only

Much as I try not to be, yes!

Sadly its hardwired into the brain and I cannot escape the misery of spending over half a billion pounds and being even more sh*t than we were before!

I'm a glass half full guy. I'm gonna stick with 2nd place.

Though my forum prediction of 1st place for Tottenham last season didn't come true, I have faith this season.

Fourth at best....

Sorry, just my honest and unfettered opinion

You've got Chelsea and Arsenal in Jan after which the situation will look a lot clearer

Not 100% convinced that was a pen myself. But yes most of those will be given

And it was a very poorly taken pen, he couldn't have put it in an easier spot for keeper to save. In fact he was lucky Kasper gave him a second bite at it

But then again I did see Leicester had 1 shot on target all game, and scored from it! Ex Everton player too ImageImage

First penalty he's missed for 4 years or something if I heard it correct!

Yep, Liverpool lose Salah and Mane (at least) for that.

I am being overly optimistic of course but, dependent on our transfer window, I do believe 2nd place is a possibility. Only 5 points behind atm if we manage to nail our games in hand.

Watch us slump into a 6/7th place finish now. :tsk:

Chelsea getting all the luck as usual. Blatant arm to the face from Lukaku, enough to leave a tidy mark on the opponent, yet his goal still stands.

The hell is wrong with VAR at the moment.

Chelsea getting completely destroyed by Brighton in every area of the pitch. Bossed. They're at home aswell. Honestly, it's like watching a Premier League team play someone from non-league.

Yet, Lukaku chooses violence and gets a goal from a corner.

Disappointing, as I'm sure Chelsea will do better in the second half (can't do worse) and Brighton have missed their chance.

Well... they didn't do better.

Tuchel definitely up for the chop next. Chelsea have been pretty guff for 6 or 7 games now. Scraping some lucky points/wins in that time. I've not seen a performance like today's since Nuno's Tottenham. Trying to park the bus for 90 minutes at home to Brighton. 🤣🤣🤣

Another lucky point for Chelsea.

Liverpool (h)
City (a)
Tottenham (h)

Won one of their last 5 at home.

What a shame! Image

I must admit, my prediction yesterday that they would finish above you is looking very shaky right now....

With these combinations of injuries and covid for most teams it's becoming a little harder to predict the outcome of matches as the '1st elevens' are an unknown quantity
