Yup, fair result. Southgate forgetting we have a subs bench for fresh legs once again. Honestly losing my faith more and more with him. I believe, with a better manager, we'd have a world cup final under our belt (wouldn't have beaten the French that year) and a Euro's trophy.

Going to my second match of the season today. Finland vs Ukraine, a win would be a big asset in fight for the second spot. France will top the group for sure but a tight battle for the second place. A group of draws: Ukraine have played 5 matches and have 5 draws.

Nice. Are you back to full stadiums over there now, or do restrictions still exist?

There are some restrictions left so not a full stadium but 29000 tickets have been sold. This is the maximum at the moment. The full stadium would be 36 200.

Disappointing 1-2 loss, two defensive mistakes which could have been avoided. Another disappointment was our new stadium. Had to stand on a line for 40 minutes before being able to enter the stadium, just managed to get to our seats when the national songs started. Also long queues to toilet and to buy drinks (had no time for the latter). Great atmosphere on the stadium, though and very nice support for Glen Kamara of Rangers.

On a positive side the team I played and managed juniors in the 70's and 80's was promoted to our third level yesterday. Last time they played in the second division was about 30 years ago. They actually only started to play again after those 30 years in 2016 and have now come up from 6th division to 2nd division in 6 years. Looking forward to next summer as they will also have away games here in the capital area of Finland so I will be able to watch more than the usual 1-2 matches per summer.

Today a change from 5-3-2 to 4-4-2 resulted in much better game and result. It could have easily been 0-5 instead of the final 0-2. Teemu Pukki is now the highest scoring Finland national team player when he surpassed Jari Litmanen's 32 goals by one goal. He scored our both goals.

It's still a very difficult situation because of last Saturday's loss vs Ukraine but at least we will still have a chance when the two remaining matches will be played in November.

We're all rooting for you, BG, just as long as you're not in the same group as Eng/Scot/Wales/NI/Ire !!

Not much to say about the England game - we seemed below par in many areas. Hopeless.

I think you’d have been more accurate had you said all areas - worst performance in years!!

I was being kind - I've promised not to criticise Captain Harry any more, hence the use of 'most'.

Kane was one of the worst offenders - but alas he was not alone. The only player who performed anything like his normal self was Grealish and he was substituted!!

Southgate is hopeless. As is Kane at the moment. He still hasn't recovered from the Euro final. He had a big shot to captain England to their first ever Euro win... a little slice of history. But it all got fked. Adding to that, he's had to stick with a mediocre spurs team while others progress. His head doesn't seem in the right place at the minute.

Kane will always come good, mind. Eventually.

Southgate won't.
