Just my opinion but I think Southgate dodged a bullet with his team selection against a poor German side. The defence decidedly dodgy and every time Harry "Capt Chaos" Maguire was near the ball was nerve shredding. Not even a look-in for the Premierships best player of the season Phil Foden. Even though he scored Kane was a passenger for most of the game, I think he tripped up for the headed goal
Not sure what game you watched.

Of all the rest of the team, I thought Stones and the other Harry looked pretty solid as was Pickford.
Agreed.
Watched without my pair of rose tinted glasses

England's best player was Pickford who made a couple of excellent saves and commanded his area well.
I thought the 3 centre backs were pretty solid and Phillips, in front of them, played well.
Nice cameo performance from Grealish.
I'm not Sterling's biggest fan but he's got 3 goals so far and what a lovely ball he played to Muller who should have scored.
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

Yowzers, that really was a heart in mouth moment (though it was a lovely ball to Havertz, I think, who played in Muller). I could just see everything come crashing down as he neared the goal. Heads dropped. German's tails up. Crowd silenced. 1-2 Germany final score. England finished...
Couldn't believe he dragged it wide! Wee bit lucky.

Not sure if Ukraine were that shocking on the night or we were just that good. Most dominant performance of the competition so far. Get in lads!!! London's bouncing!

What a lovely, relaxed evening!!
Now, now, careful now guys...... I don't wont to see you wind yourselves up only to get hurt. You know how it always ends......
Congrats on the quarters though - Semi's for the 2nd time....

Not taking anything for granted. It seems to be written in the stars that Denmark may cause an upset. Two semi finals in a row, though. We've been given a rare football treat recently. 60,000+ fans at Wembley next is gonna be quite an atmosphere!

Guess you're not talking about England there..... ?

TBH - fecking ridiculous - sorry to spoil the party (truly), but...... There are those in UEFA and Westminster who should (but won't) be held to account.

Good game, this. Nil-nil but a good few chances either side. Spain looking the better team. Expected a little more from the Italians to be honest. Sure they'll make adjustments for the 2nd half. 2-1 Spain final score.

What an entertaining game of football! And surprisingly little in the way of histrionics. Over the 90 minutes I thought Spain were the better side, but the winner of this game was going to be favourite for the final, whoever wins the other semi.
From an England point of view, if we beat Denmark (if), I'd rather be playing Italy, but I think we'll need to wrap it up before extra time...
