Fun fact I just heard on the telly. England have only ever won one knockout game in the Euros. In the history of the competition.

There was one I heard (at least I think I did... :? ) where England finished 3rd in the European Championship. Sounds very good - until you find out only four teams competed!!

That’s wrong - a lot to go through but you’ll find that England have won a number of times in the knockout stages

I didn't work my way through that link but here's a snippet from an article and Southgate himself seems to think this is the case.

Holy mackerels, Batman! Never saw that one coming. Croatia almost put the Spanish out and the Swiss dump the French. Mbappe, the 'best striker in the world' leaves the tournament with zero goals and a decisive penalty miss. The Swiss were good for the win.

I just hope there isn't as much drama in the England game tomorrow. Can't handle it. Fortunately, the way England play (Maguire to Stones, Stones to Maguire, Maguire to Stones...) I don't see that happening. :D

Cracking day of football!

I only watched the highlights this morning and yes, what a great pair of exciting games - if England’s game tonight is even half as exciting, it will still be better than the three previous games combined!!

Win or lose I just hope we put up a bloody good fight today. Don't want a repeat of the Croatia 2nd half and extra time or the Iceland match!

Chloe's the Villa Villain will probably be more exciting than watching Kane & Co lose for the "Wehrmacht", 555555!

There's one thing where the Danish (and others) were wholeheartedly against Wales during their match, but the English crowd/supporters showing absolutely feck all respect for an opposing teams' national anthem (when they don't have their own) is a disgrace....

Oh for those so proud to have an IQ slightly higher than their shoe size......

Would love to see England win - even as a Welshman!!
