That's all well and good. But in these areas making their own rules, it becomes impossible for a foreigner to expect a vaccination. Regardless of what the CCSA says, you will still be refused! How do you combat that?

Am I being naive or will this mean that, because I have no medical records at any local hospital, I simply go to the closest one and sign up - or do I need to fake food poisoning or something to get a medical history and then register?

Foreigners living in Thailand will be able to register for a COVID-19 vaccine starting June 7, the first day of the country’s mass vaccination campaign.

I, like I guess many others, have listened to today's brief, and I'm quite happy things are happening, and it seems quite well organised. As Farangs it looks as though we don't need to bother with one of their 'Thai' apps.

I'll register at HHH when Mrs BB is getting her jab on 9th June. No urgency, I'm British. I'll happily take my place in the queue.

I'm told I will get the Sinvac jab in the next couple of weeks. If I were to go back to the UK I would get either Pfizer or AZ immediately. Sinovac is apparently "only" 55-65% effective, but to go back to the UK would require quarantine both ways. My head says stay put, but my heart says go for a jab holiday. Do others trust Sinovac?

Sinovac seems not so bad at keeping people out of hospital.

In that interview, Sinovac claims to have 89% protection against ICU and 80% protection against hospitalisation.

In contrast, AZ and Pfizer from their studies claim 100% protection from severe disease, hospitalisation and death.

To me, that's a 'no-brainer'.

Well according to government announcements, from the middle to the end of June, AZ vaccines will be the main vaccine used outstripping supplies of Sinovac. Also on order is Moderna, Pfizer and J & J (According to which part of government you listen to)
There'll be a problem if Sinovac is the only vaccine offered. There is a lot of evidence that Thais in general will refuse the Sinovac vaccine. It was evidenced recently in BKK when 'walk-in' vaccination centres had mainly a 'no-show'.

I believe Sinovacs claims differ vastly from clinical results in Brazil, Chile etc. where it was widely used. Reports of 3% immunity after the first dose and up to 50% after the second dose..... I know what vaccine I'd be going for!!

With China banning entry to foreigners that haven't had Sinovac I can see other countries reciprocating, so wouldn't go near it for that reason alone. There are several others.

The issue will be if/when you’re able to register and get invited for your vaccination - if it’s a case of Sinovac or nothing, what will you do? Personally I’d wait but that might not be the case for everyone

Article in google or yahoo news, I've forgotten which, says there have been cases of partial deafness after some vaccinations. They didn't name the brand. The list keeps growing.

Also talk of needing a 3rd shot before years end.

The CEOs of the pharma cos. must be wanking all day just thinking about it.
