As my last post says I have always paid COD. I see the option of usin credit/debit card is available. I have a debit Master Card from Bangkok Bank. Anyone have any experiences paying with a card on Lazada? Will money get refunded if parcel isn't arriving or if returned? Any thoughts?

Pay by credit/debit card most of the time and never had problems with refunds, they are very good and swift in crediting your card account

I can agree with that. Over the last couple of years, I've made 3 or 4 claims for refunds on a credit card. Usually refunded in 48 hours. Depending upon which way the home currency goes, you can either make a little or lose a little.

I haven't tried for a long time, therefore the question. What is the credit card policy for Lazada and similar Thai on-line shopping companies when it comes to a foreign credit/debit cards? Do they accept, or still locked in to cards only issued by a Thai bank?

I use a UK credit card with Lazada. As I said in my previous post, when it comes to refunds, the exchange rate can make or lose a small amount on the deal!

I use a zero fee USA debit card. No problem with Lazada, Ali Express, or any store in town. But Shopee does not want it. Make sure the cashier enters the purchase into your card in Thai Baht, DO NOT let them enter it into your card in the home country currency of your card, because you will get a far better exchange rate by letting the conversion be done thru your home country bank. At least that is how it has always been with my bank and I always get a better rate than what is posted daily on the Bangkok Bank website

Has anyone ever had something arrive that they didn't order?

Happened yesterday, nothing in my account reflecting the purchase, yet a set of headphones turned up in my name.

It's never happened to me or my family in the years of dealing. Was it delivered COD or had the item already been paid for? Lazada have always been very good with returns so I'm sure it'll not cause a problem. Mistakes happen.

If the kids ordered it, it would still show up on my account - which it hasn't. It was COD and not knowing what was in the box, somebody paid it. Someone in the household will make use of them!

No biggie - just wondered if it had happened to anyone else.

Normally, soon after delivery you get a contact from Lazada asking you to rate the service - have you had that yet - you could use it to try and find out what happened?

Maybe, in the next day or 2.

I was looking for sandals on Lazada (my feet are in proportion to the rest of me), so I need very large sizes, and usually pay accordingly. I did order a couple of pairs, and when the order was complete, it came back and presented sandals in my size for just 46฿ saying I could have bought these. Too good to be true, but at that price, too cheap to ignore.

Now, I don't know if it is coincidence or not, I had a message yesterday saying a pair of really cheap looking slippers were about to be despatched to me, and if I didn't want them, I should cancel them. I didn't order them, so I most certainly wasn't going to cancel.

It could be that Lazada are trying to boost sales by just sending random stuff they think you might need. Else it could be that the 46฿ was for cheap and nasty slippers, and the Lazada description is totally wrong. An unscrupulous sales method if they are just sending random stuff in the hope you pay for it. I will return it if I don't want it, and receive a full refund. Lazada will pay carriage both ways, so they will lose.

Good point, no email from Laz so the mystery deepens.
