This coming Sunday 9 Dec 18 @ 4pm, the Heroes will be undertaking a concentrated clean of the rocky area near the Pattaya Ferry Pier at the end of Soi Hua Don 9. We really need as much assistance as possible in cleaning this area.

Of course, we understand that not everybody is at ease with climbing. There will be plenty of beach to clean if you are not at ease with climbing.

All Heroes. both new and old will be very welcome. If you can help with the rock cleaning, please ensure you wear suitable footwear.

A very difficult beach rock clean yesterday. 42 Heroes clambered over rocks to collect 300 Kg of trash in just one hour yesterday.

A fantastic effort guys, and thanks to each and every one of you.

A double whammy by the Heroes this afternoon, cleaning both 77 Alley and the adjoining beach.

52 Heroes (including 4 kids) cleared 60 Kg of trash.

As usual, a great job, and a big thank you from all of us.

For a few years I have made an individual effort-- About twice a week I take a garbage bag when I take my daily beach-walk, I walk at the wateredge and pick up the flotsam that comes in with the tide-- main component, a lot of styrofoam.
When I see the HUGE amount that the heroes pick up I cant help feeling---Yes, and some assholes are throwing all this garbage on the beach and that makes me mad.

Was that North or South Takiab Beach?

At South Takiab Beach, there are definitely bins in the car park near the ferry terminal. We've also used bins in the alleyways.

North Takiab Beach, there used to be bins at the entrances from the various alley ways on to the beach. However, I've just been through my Beach Walk photos, and bins that were there in 2014, are missing in 2018, so if North I guess you're right. We used to walk our dogs on the Northern beach, and often met the rubbish collection truck en-route.

I think from the little river to Seapines is Army land, so they will be responsible for cleaning that stretch, and do, so I doubt they see the need. Were there no bins up the alleyways - the idea being people should remove rubbish from the beach first.

When I was down there Christmas Day, there were sunbeds and umbrellas almost to the little river. The vendors would hopefully have had a bin that you could have used - they certainly wouldn't have wanted smelly public bins polluting their plots - hence they are up alleyways.

Christmas Day was a rare daytime visit - I'm usually there after dark, and sunbeds etc are packed away. It's easy enough to spot the bins then.

This week's clean-up on 6 Jan 19 has been cancelled due to storm Pabuk, although a lot of work is anticipated afterwards.
