Privacy Beach Resort Hua Hin / Pranburi

Post by mjamuk »

Hi
Has anyone here stayed at the Privacy Beach Resort, and can give any inf about the hotel and area.
We are thinking of having a week there in Feb before our yearly 2 weeks in Hua Hin.

Regards

The rooms swimming pool and gardens are very nice. The location is isolated and actually lonely as you might be the only guests and certainly the only farangs. Beachfront (there is a road between this hotel and the beach) but the beach is similar to Hua Hua..meaning not sandy like Phuket. The quiet beach area is maybe 6 or 7 kilometers long and is home to local fishermen. Down the beach a few km is a farang hotel (Dolphin Bay) and some thai places. The Privacy food is good but very very expensive.

I’ve never stayed at the Privacy Beach, but I’ve driven past it many times and it looks very pleasant, it’s a nice area if you want a bit of seclusion.

Thanks for the reply Steve G & Nomad.

I hope we have not dropped a goolie by booking this hotel if eating there is "very very expensive" especially as it seems this hotel is quite remote. We knew it was going to be a quiet place but had hoped there would be a few local bars/ restaurants close by, will post a review when we get back home.
Cheers Mike

mjamuk, there are some good, cheap, beach restaurants in the area, thats why I go there. It's a secluded location, but I think you could have good time there; If you get bored at night it's not that far from Hua Hin anyway.
