What's the issue exactly?

I have installed it many times over the years, though it has been a while.

It is my first effort of installing phpbb, although I have installed other Forums in the distant past.
Now up to the final stage.... "Please delete, move or rename the install directory before using your board. While this directory exists, only the Administration Control Panel (ACP) will be accessible".

There are a number of possible directory but I have not been able to identify which one.... a minor problem.

I then need to install a language package.

If you (someone in HH area) can assist, we can work out some compensation.

Done loads of them, yes you need to delete the instal folder to complete the installation, it contains files that compromise security if left on the server.

Language packs are also pretty easy to install, just upload them into the appropriate folder and activate in the ACP.

Thanks for the offer.. I have been able to complete install and also upload language pack... so it now just a matter of putting the topic , etc...
