In trouble - again

Post by lomuamart »

Anyway, I put on my clothes on to just out over the road to get some victuals (beer and ciggies). Sometimes clothes do help.
I was collared - "how many shirts do you have to wear each day? I have to do the laundry".
I couldn't believe that. I'm innocent. I'll do the bloody laundry.
So, with ciggies and beer, Sade is on the music very quietly.
How many times have you been in trouble for no reason at all?
PS - I've just survived a wake up moment.

I give all my clothes the "sniff'" and "stain" test. If I smell the shirt pitts, or open the short tops a foot or so below my face and don't smell anything, they are re-wearable. The only other test is look for the very common (for me) stains from spilling food or drink on them or sweat stains. If they smell or have obvious stains, they go in the wash bin. Otherwise I wear or hang the shirts back up wrong side out so I know they are already recycled so I can keep a closer watch on them. Pre worn shorts have their own drawer.

The missus washes everything she wears, even if it was only for a few minutes! :banghead:

A note about over washing. If you have clothes you cherish (like me; I'm still wearing stuff I brought from the U.S. 10 years ago), washing is what wears them out, not wearing.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I can go through three sets of clothes a day can't handle being sweaty for to long but the wife is the same so no ear bending for me.
When i am up in our house in Surin and its knocking 40C with no breeze i will shower four times a day just to freshen up.

Kendo.

This sparks a memory ( and shows how old I am) when I was at school I wore the same shirt for a week, but, they had separate collars that you put on with the help of collar studs. So each day you had a clean collar. Anybody else remember separate collars?

Never seen detachable collars but being brought up in the tropics clothes get washed after one use. No excuses. Have worked in Holland where in winter the same shirt sees a weeks use. Baths approximately the same interval :duck:

I suppose I survived.
In the cold light of day I reckon I should buy a new washing machine. That should put me in the good books!!
And Iggy Pop will not go on again.

You know what they say ... What do you instantly know about a well-dressed man?
His wife is good at picking out clothes.
